First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Valnet Inc..
Software Developer
It was a really straightforward and quick process with hardly any waiting around. They made sure I knew what they were looking for right from the start. I liked that it was kind of a trial by fire, where I really got to show what I could do, which is something you don't see often.
- Tell me about a difficult problem you faced at work and how you went about solving it.
Assistant Director of Administration
I was contacted by a recruiter, and we had an introductory call. After that, I was scheduled for an in-person interview. The interviewer was running late, about 20 minutes behind, which was a bit annoying. The interview itself felt a bit all over the place; they weren't taking notes or reading from a list of questions.
- Can you tell me what you know about Valnet?
- Could you explain our revenue model?
Manager
The interview process is straightforward, focused on finding top talent. They are always recruiting, regardless of whether you currently hold the position or have held it for a long time, indicating a willingness to replace individuals. Throughout my employment, there were always active job postings for my role and ongoing interviews. The interview itself wasn't difficult, but simple: meet with HR, then meet with the head(s) of the team(s). There are no tricks; they aren't trying to trap you. They simply want the best candidate, and if you're a good fit, you have a strong chance of getting an offer.
- Tell us what makes you stand out.
- Can you describe your past experience?
- What do you anticipate being challenging for you in this role?
Media Buyer
They reached out to schedule an on-site interview. Your HR contact greets you and does a brief pre-interview. Then you meet with 2 supervisors and 1 more time with HR to discuss benefits, salary, etc. You may go through 4 different people. That last meeting with HR made me feel like I was totally going to be considered for the position. They told me I may be contacted to fill in a different post based on my skills, and that they will get in touch with me within a week, but that didn't happen. Send a thank you note and called, no answer. It made me feel very positive about the outcome and then very down after they remained silent.
