It was pretty easy. They just asked me to go over my CV and if I had any difficulties with certain tasks at my last job. Also asked if the management was supportive and I said yes. Then they asked what I am asking for to start and my dates.

So, it started with a quick phone screen, then I had an in-person interview with a bunch of people from the team, the hiring manager, and even the VP of IT. They mentioned maybe some SQL questions, but it ended up being a really deep dive into SQL and also designing a whole full-stack application from scratch. It felt more like a developer job interview than an analytics one, which was a bit unexpected given what they said initially. That made it hard to prep for. What was even more disappointing was the lack of communication afterward. I was told I'd hear back soon, but never did, even after I followed up. It's a bummer after putting in all that time for the in-person interview. Hopefully, they get better at being upfront and keeping candidates in the loop.

  • Can you explain various types of joins?
  • Could you describe window functions?

Behavioral Technical

I applied for the Application Developer role and went thru the interview process which mostly consisted of behavioral and light technical questions. There were about 4 rounds: 1 - video call with a supervisor, 30 minutes, discuss the role 2 - video call with a team, discuss about your experience and skills 3 - video call with the hiring manager, behavioral questions 4 - HR call to discuss an offer. This is when things went downhill real quick. They gave an offer but it was for Application Analyst role, not Application Developer. It felt like a bait and switch. I had to decline it and move on.

Behavioral Other

I applied and then got an email the next day for a skills assessment test. The day after that, I got a recruiter call to set up an interview for the following week. It seemed like they were interviewing a bunch of people at once, like they really needed to fill 7 spots quickly, maybe because lots of people leave. I only wanted a full-time job, but after they offered me the position, they said I'd be working per diem (on-call). Super unprofessional and a waste of my time. Turns out, they only had 2 full-time spots, and the rest were per diem, which they didn't even mention upfront. I talked to another person interviewing, and they also applied for full-time but got offered per diem. It's ridiculous. No wonder they have such a high turnover rate.
