First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Valkyrie Enterprises, LLC.
Office Assistant
Had a really nice chat with someone over the phone, and then they emailed me to set up an in-person meeting. When I went in, it was a good vibe. They asked me about stuff on my resume and how it would match up with what they need for the job.
- Can you elaborate on your previous experience?
- How do you see your background fitting into this role?
Quantitative Researcher
I had an online assessment with questions on math (probability theory and combinatorics) and finance (basic option pricing), plus two coding tasks. It wasn't super hard overall, but the time was tight. They got back to me about 5 days later.
- What are the OOP principles?
- Tell me about classes.
- What are some key concepts and methods?
Technical Writer
Two team calls happened. The first one involved a couple of people asking different questions and explaining parts of the Job. They also inquired about my experiences with a similar job I had previously. The second team call was for the job offer and to address any questions I might have.
- What would you do if a project was mentioned in advance but wasn't discussed the following week?
Engineer
I applied online and got an email from the recruiter a week later to schedule a call with them and the hiring manager. Unfortunately, I was rejected 15 minutes after getting the email because the recruiter forgot they had already offered the job to someone else.
