The interview was conducted over Skype. I was on time, but the interviewers were late and had trouble with the platform's setup. They hadn't reviewed my resume beforehand and asked repetitive questions, seeming distracted. My initial impression was a lack of preparation, making the interview uninteresting and unprofessional. I subsequently lost interest in the role. It's beneficial to learn this early on, as it reflects how employees might be treated.

It was an in-person interview. The interviewers seemed unprepared, which caused a delay, but they apologized. It felt like they were reviewing my resume for the first time during the interview. I found myself losing interest. They barely glanced at my portfolio, spending only about 3 seconds on it before setting it aside. They asked very few questions, and most of their feedback was based on their assumptions about my skills and industry knowledge, some of which I disagreed with. One interviewer dominated the conversation, heavily influencing the overall impression. I left the interview feeling offended, and I also noticed the 'clan-ish' environment others mentioned. It was disappointing, especially considering the positive reviews I had read. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve their interviewing process.

Behavioral Presentation

I had an interview with two people, a project manager and someone more senior. They looked through my portfolio and resume. I asked them some questions about their team's work style, and from our conversation, they realized I might not be interested in their team's management or how they handle projects. I was upfront and explained what my ideal job situation would be. The manager felt I could be a good fit, but also thought this role might not be the right match for me given my preferences.

Had a phone interview with Elisabetta, she was super friendly and the call wasn't too long. About a week later, I had an in-person with 2 Project Managers. It was about an hour and felt pretty informal, which was great to meet them and learn about Valerio Architects. They said I'd hear back in 1-2 weeks about a possible second interview with two new team members, an offer, or just a rejection.
