& Process

The interview had two main parts: a technical assessment and then a behavioral interview. They asked me about my project management background, my methods for meeting deadlines, handling disagreements, and talking to stakeholders. It was a mix of questions about specific situations and talking about projects I'd worked on before.

The interview process was fine, but looking back, I see some issues with the company culture. I'm glad I didn't get an offer, even though I really needed a job and might have taken it anyway. A red flag was how unclear the job role was; it felt like they were using the interviews to figure out what they actually wanted, like the core duties and the ideal candidate's background. Typical startup stuff, but still. What I remember most, and why I'm writing this review two years later, is what the interviewer said about the company being full of 'broken individuals.' He elaborated that the company culture encourages people to talk about their trauma. While I get wanting people invested in a mission, especially in mental health, it felt like they were so focused on destigmatizing mental illness that it might be overly inappropriate. I wouldn't want to feel pressured to share personal things with coworkers just to fit into a workplace culture of openness. If I connected with a coworker and wanted to open up, that's different, but I don't want to bring my 'brokenness' to work. For me, feeling valued as an employee means having privacy and work/life balance, which I might use for my mental health. This company seems committed to affordability and accessibility, which is a concrete action towards their mission.

It was a pleasant, easy-going, informative, smooth, and friendly process. There were three interviews. The first was with the manager, who introduced the general information about the role. The second was with the CEO, where we talked about the company, benefits, and my job expectations. The third was with the Medical director, discussing work-life balance, suicidal intervention, and then we had a Q&A session.

Two rounds. First with HR then leadership. About 30 minutes each. Questions are pre written it looked like. Standard questions. They discuss HR type questions in the first meeting. Everyone was really nice and pleasant. No "gotcha" questions. They ask about telehealth experience as well as in person. Supervisor was nice. They answered all my questions.
