First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Valence Surface Technologies.
NDT Technician
The interview was pretty chill, mostly talking about my career aims and what I'm looking for in a job. They told me about the company and asked if I had any questions about the role. We also talked about salary, benefits, and the work schedule.
- What are your long-term aspirations within this industry?
IT Manager
I went through 4 interviews, with 2 interviewers in each. It felt like a really thorough vetting process. They asked me a lot about how I make decisions, how I decide what's important, and how I tackle problems. Only one interviewer went into technical specifics.
- It seemed like they had past issues with a manager who wouldn't ask for help when stuck, so they were really concerned about that.
- They were really interested in how I prioritize IT issues.
Maintenance Technician
There were two interviews, which were pretty straightforward and they seemed honest about the work environment and what they expected. They gave me a tour of the facility, and while walking around, no one seemed disgruntled or unhappy. Considering all that, they made an offer.
- What are your career goals for the next year?
