Had a phone interview that went well and then moved to the in-person part. Interviewed with 4 people one after another. Thought it went okay, but they really wanted someone with a healthcare background. They said I'd hear back in a week or two, but never got a call. Did some more digging on Valeant Pharmaceuticals, and they seem pretty controversial with a rough history. Look up the Netflix documentary Dirty Money - Valeant. They buy companies, slash R&D, and then hike up prescription prices by 5000% to profit. Some people end up paying over $300K a year for their meds! Maybe it's a good thing this questionable company didn't reach out.

I started with a recruiter who gave me the lowdown on Valeant. Honestly, I didn't know much, but I was job hunting. The online reviews for the company weren't great, which in hindsight was a big red flag. I wasn't initially keen, but I heard they paid well, so I decided to go for it. After the recruiter chat, I had a few phone screens, then they invited me in to meet some of the managers. I have to say, all the managers I met were surprisingly great – really smart and experienced. The interview questions were pretty standard, mostly about my background and how I got to where I am. Once they decided they wanted to offer me the job, things moved super fast, and I got a call within a week. The company culture is all about being lean and moving quickly. I got an offer letter and benefits package emailed to me right away. I had to do a drug test and provide references, which all went smoothly. Even getting fired was quick and painless.

The interview process was interesting. I was given a clinical study to review but once the interview started I was asked to review a sales brochure and then give a sales pitch based on the brochure. The hiring manager was professional, ethical and extremely kind throughout the process. It was a great experience and I have nothing but great things to say about the entire experience. I also interviewed with the HR department. What I was most impressed with is that the Hiring manager gave me a very clear idea of the next steps and the procedures. He also followed up when I reached out as well. I look at every interview as an opportunity for growth so curve balls and out of the norm situations help to reveal truths on both sides of the process. I would recommend the company and found the interviewing process very professional.

The interview process was excellent. It started with a first phone screening, followed by a second phone screening. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager, which led to an onsite interview with multiple people. The fifth interview was with the Director and an HR person. I am now waiting for the final answer and the offer. They are a bit slow in getting the final offer out, but I finally got it.
