First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at VACCO.
Engineer
Had one virtual interview then two on site interviews with other team members. Questions were reasonable for my background and skill level. They really focused on making sure I would be a good fit with the coworkers and team.
- Why are you interested in working at this company?
Applications Engineer
The interview process began with an initial call from HR. This was followed by a video call with the hiring managers. Then, I had an in-person interview that included both HR and the hiring managers again. After the interview, there was a long wait with no response. I reached out via phone and email to HR, but received no reply. It was mentioned during the interviews that the company is working on improving employee retention and communication, which was clearly demonstrated by the lack of response I experienced.
- Can you share details about your background and your experience working with external clients?
Budget/Schedule Analyst
Amtec recruiter Rob got in touch with me about this role. I then had a phone interview with a Vacco director. After that, they scheduled an on-site interview for me. I showed up on time, but after waiting for about 30 minutes for the interviewer, I just left. It was really unorganized, unprofessional, and they didn't respect my time at all. Seriously, don't bother with this place.
- What's prompting your job search?
Supply Chain Analyst
It started with a phone chat with the recruiter, then another phone chat with the President. After that, I had to do about 4 hours of online behavioral testing. The in-person part was a 4-hour marathon with 8 to 10 people. The first interview was late by 30 mins, I was left waiting in the lobby. They ghosted me after all that time and effort, and I only found out after I kept chasing the recruiter multiple times. It was what I already suspected.
- Can you anticipate the president's thoughts and desires 24/7?
