First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vacation Innovations.
Software Developer
The team was great and really transparent. I felt super comfortable talking with the senior software developer, project coordinator, and software developer lead. They worked really well together and let me know what they were looking for.
- Questions about logic and problem-solving abilities.
Customer Service Representative
The interview process started with a phone call. They called but didn't leave a voicemail, which I found odd. I didn't advance past the initial phone interview because the offer wasn't good enough for me; I'm currently earning more. Plus, my current job is closer to home, and taking their offer, considering salary and commuting costs (gas/tolls), would have been a poor financial choice.
- What is your understanding of our company?
- Could you tell me about your experience?
Project Manager
The interview was in person and was scheduled for 1 hour but went 1-1/2 hours. It felt professional, warm, and friendly. The staffing agency and the director set up the interview, and they responded quickly.
- Can you explain how your project management skills and experience would be relevant here?
- What are your key strengths?
- Could you tell me about your weaknesses?
PHP Developer
HR reached out to me about the job. I said I was interested, and then they had me come in for an interview with the technical director and network manager. I got an offer the next day.
- Can you tell me about a project you're particularly proud of?
