First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UW Health.
Healthcare Administrator
I've applied to UW Health a lot, but no recruiter has contacted me in months. I'm a current employee and even had two people recommend me to recruitment, but still nothing. I've sent multiple emails asking for updates, and it's just embarrassing and ridiculous.
- Very generic interview questions, potentially about your resume.
Lab Supervisor
I first spoke with a recruiter, and that went well. Then, I had a follow-up call with the hiring manager, but it seemed like they didn't get any info from the first call, so it was pretty much the same conversation twice. The second call felt really rushed, as if they'd already decided.
- Can you tell me about any certifications you hold that aren't on your resume?
Clinical Specialist
Had a good phone chat with HR that told me more about the job. The team had recently reorganized, so it was great to meet with both the clinical team and upper management to get a feel for this new role.

- Could you elaborate on your understanding of value-based nursing?
CyberSecurity Engineer
So I had a phone interview with the recruiter, then the hiring manager, and then a panel of three security engineers. The whole thing took about a month. Honestly, the frustrating part wasn't not getting the job, but feeling like my time was wasted on the third interview. There seemed to be a major disconnect between the hiring manager/recruiter and the panel for that final round. The recruiter told me I wasn't technical enough, but the panel only asked me two technical questions, and one of them didn't ask me anything at all. I answered one technical question correctly and the other one okay. Mostly, they asked about my experience and how I work with people. I thought it was a pretty easy interview, but I guess I never really had a shot with that panel. It felt like they were just going through the motions and had a totally different impression of me than the hiring manager and recruiter did. This job has been open for five months, so it's pretty clear the recruiter and hiring manager haven't aligned their expectations or the interview process with the panel, who apparently have a final say. It's weird they don't just let the panel filter candidates based on their resume if someone isn't qualified, instead of wasting everyone's time with a third interview where they don't even set clear guidelines. If you're thinking about interviewing with them, just be aware of their process and how little they seem to value candidates' time. If you're interviewing elsewhere and getting a better vibe, don't hesitate to bail on this process.
- Could you explain the process for NPS servers and MFA in Azure?
