Student Assistant
The interview was quick and took place over Zoom. They asked basic questions, nothing that really stood out. There were two interviewers, and the whole thing was about 30 minutes long. They were really fast to fill the position and respond via email, so it was a good interview experience overall.

Lecturer
So, the interview process is pretty typical for academia. First, there's an interview with the search committee, then with the hiring dean. After that, you'll likely have to do a presentation and a campus visit. We post openings on sites like higheredjobs.com, the Chronicle of Higher Ed, and our own university system, which uses Workday. You'll mostly be communicating with the department chair and the administrator.

Student Engagement & Activities Coordinator
They start by filtering out unqualified candidates via email and then schedule interviews. The interview process is very friendly and focuses on behavioral questions where you'll be given a scenario. The best approach is to stay calm and be yourself. Aim to answer questions within 4-5 minutes, unless you have a compelling and exciting anecdote to share. Having prior connections with the interviewers and being known to them personally can be quite beneficial.

So, first there was a phone interview, then they asked me to come to campus for a panel interview, and then a final interview with the Director. I got the offer about a month after applying.
