First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Utile.
Intern
The interview was quite brief, lasting under 45 minutes and felt rather informal. I was interviewed by a principal architect, and no one else was there. I made sure my answers were direct and to the point.
- Could you elaborate on your interest in the construction methods highlighted in your portfolio?
Senior Designer
It started with an email recommendation. The interview felt superficial. They seemed more focused on my demeanor and personal communication style than my actual skills. Actually, it felt more like they were trying to convince me to take the job, rather than the other way around.
- Can you share examples of projects you have managed in the past?
Intern
The interviewer was very receptive. I learned a lot about the company and the projects were insightful and great. There are many opportunities for professional and design development. The company has a strong presence in the community and with educational institutions.
- What are your goals for this internship?
