The process was really formalized and they were upfront about how many interviews there would be and how long it would take. Scheduling was pretty flexible too. The only downside was that the "culture check" with the CEO wasn't really just a culture check – it was kind of technical, and I wasn't prepared for that. Also, after 6 interviews, I never heard back or got any feedback.

The process was short. First, I spoke with a recruiter, then set up a verbal interview with the VP of engineering. The downside was that the conversations with both the recruiter and the VP were quite long. It felt a little odd to be expected to recall terms that aren't part of my daily routine as a Software Engineer on the spot. I got most of them right, only missing a few, but it seems like you need to be an expert on all SE knowledge to work there. This is strange considering they aren't that big of a company. It feels like they think they're an 'Amazon' but they're just fooling themselves.

I had a phone interview that went for almost an hour. Then, I went in for an in-person meeting with the hiring manager, which also took about an hour. The hiring manager seemed to think I did well and told me to email HR about moving forward. I did that and waited about a week before following up. HR sent a generic response saying no decisions had been made. This back and forth continued for about four to five weeks until the responses stopped. After a few more weeks, I found out they had hired someone else. I was bummed about how they handled it, just ghosting me instead of sending a quick email. Everyone was nice, and it was a pretty good experience, but I wish they'd been more courteous to candidates who didn't get the job.

I went through a series of Zoom meetings, starting with Recruiting, then a VP, followed by a Director, and finally an HR Director. The whole thing was quite fast. They were all aimed at checking out my skills and technical know-how.
