I had a military AGR Board Interview with the NCOICs from all the teams. It included a presentation, a cold call, and a direct interview. I was also asked to explain regulations and policies.

After submitting my application with my last five years of evaluations and physical fitness scores, my packet went through a prescreening. If it passed, I was then scheduled for an in-person board interview. Four people conducted this interview and asked me questions about processes and principles to see how I think, my critical thinking skills, and my understanding of the job.

So first I had to find a unit with an opening, going from one unit to another. Then, when I found a spot, the company commander would interview me. If they accepted me, I had to do the usual drug tests and background checks.

It was a very thorough interview process. I went to MEPS, took a long test, and we discussed the job. They also did a physical exam to check my fitness for the role. They were nice enough to provide food and a hotel during the process.
