The interview process was really long and took a lot of time. There were several interviews, and the communication between them wasn't great. A lot of things they said would happen didn't end up happening. It felt like I was going through a government job interview process.
- Can you describe a difficult conversation you've had to manage?
Teller
The branch manager was great, but the CEO personally interviews everyone for every role, showing a lack of trust in his managers. During the CEO interview, other executives seemed nervous around him due to his temper. I was offered the job but turned it down because I don't want to work for a CEO who doesn't trust his managers to hire tellers. I'd heard this was the CEO's style at Utah First, and it was true. I don't recommend this company; they need a new CEO.
- What makes you want to work here?
Bank Teller
The interview process involves several rounds of interviews and a couple of online assessments. You'll get to meet your direct manager and also some other people from the main branch. They are flexible with scheduling and can accommodate if you need to spread out the interviews due to personal reasons, like I did when I had to travel. The atmosphere is very welcoming and supportive, giving off a strong sense of community.
- Were you asked if you were attending school?

My first impression of Utah First was amazing! I felt very welcome and that Utah First was where I needed to be. The interview process was professional. I had two interviews, the final interview was with the executive team which I feel is important, it shows they care and have interest in their employees.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
