UT Health San Antonio Interview Questions
& Process

I had a Zoom call with the staff. It was easy and laid back, and everyone I spoke with was very nice. They went around asking different questions. I felt comfortable talking with all the people on the team and enjoyed all my conversations. Everyone made me feel welcomed during the call and communication remained open.

So the whole interview thing took about a month, maybe a bit less. I was interviewing with UT Health for this job, and it seemed like it was going pretty well. But then, after the interview, I heard nothing back. I tried to get in touch with the interviewer a few times, but nope, total radio silence. Turns out, they didn't even consider me for a role I was actually overqualified for. No rejection email, nothing. I only found out because I checked the applicant portal. I was left in the dark and ghosted. This has happened before, unfortunately. I think it's really unprofessional not to even send a quick generic email to let someone know they didn't make the cut, instead of just ghosting them. Apparently, UT is known for this kind of unprofessional behavior based on other reviews.

I applied on the site and a recruiter reached out to me to set up an interview. I interviewed with the hiring manager. It wasn't very in-depth, mostly just about my experience. I asked about the team and on-call duties. Then I just never heard back. I emailed the recruiter to follow up but didn't even get a response saying they found someone else. Pretty much ghosted after the interview.

The interview process was straightforward. I really liked that they scheduled a full day for me to be onsite and meet with different people, including senior leaders. After the interviews, I sent thank you notes to everyone, but I never got a response. Then, after a couple of weeks, I emailed for an update, and still no response. This continued for 6 weeks, 2 months, and then 3 months later. I never heard back, not even a simple 'hello'. It was after three months that I realized my application was no longer active. To this day, I haven't received any communication, not even a 'Thanks for your interest.' Honestly, if this is how they communicate, I'm glad I didn't get the job.
