There were a few interviews, including a panel with future coworkers and another with department heads and HR. It was a conversational and fun process! Everyone was super nice, interested, and understanding. I was asked about my experience and how I'd be a good match for the job.

The interview started with technical difficulties; it took them about half an hour to get the webex line set up with all three interviewers. I talked about my relevant work background in the field they were hiring for. Then they asked me about ways to improve airport throughput. Since I'd worked on a similar airport before, I shared my findings. The interview shifted after I pointed out a flaw in their proposed method from an airline revenue management standpoint. They asked more specific skill-based questions. One interviewer's questions became more focused on his graduate work, not mine. He presented a simple graph problem, which was simpler than the graphs I had in mind from my own graduate work. He asked about solution complexity relative to input size, and I explained it varies depending on the network. He disagreed and then aggressively questioned my graduate work, which felt childish. I ended the call after about 7-8 minutes of that.
