Consumer Insights Manager
Applied online and after about 2-3 weeks, HR contacted me for a 30-minute phone interview. They mentioned a second phone interview with the hiring manager would be scheduled. A couple weeks later, that interview was set up, but it was with someone else covering for the hiring manager. HR had said it would be a technical interview, so I prepared for technical questions. However, the interview was basically a repeat of the first HR interview with very general questions. I wasn't assertive enough to steer the conversation back to where it should have been, and I was so taken aback by the questions that the interview ended after only 15-20 minutes. A couple weeks later, I was informed they were moving forward with other candidates.
- Were there any difficult questions asked? (Actually, nothing was difficult, which was kind of the problem.)
Incident Manager
I had a phone interview with HR about the Incident Manager position. The HR person was really professional and helpful. She told me about the job, what I'd be doing, and about the company. She asked about my background and some specific things about my previous jobs and duties. She listened well and gave good feedback. She mentioned they were looking for different skills than what I had for this role and explained what they needed in a candidate. She was very nice and didn't put me down. She pointed out things she liked about me and said I might be a good fit for another role that isn't open right now. Even though I didn't get the job, I felt good about the interview.
- What do you think would be the reason if you weren't selected for the job?
Senior Manager
I had two phone screens, first with HR and then the hiring manager. This started in November and I was asked into HQ in January. Spent morning interviewing with two directors and on vp.
- What would you do to build a team if you inherited a new group composed of unhappy employees?
