Customer Support Specialist
Standard tell me about a time..... Interviewer was rather rude. First interview was the basic standard questions vague, even though had been an employee for over 4 years. Second step was written test. With no one knowing where u had to go and no instructions, still passed. However schedules were assigned by how well interviewer liked your responses.
- Describe a situation where you dealt with a challenging customer.
Customer Service Representative
I applied online. I got a call the next day for a phone screening where they asked general questions typical for a call center/customer service role, like dealing with difficult customers. They explained the job, pay ($12.63/hr base, $0.75 shift differential after 5 p.m.), and that training is 6 months long. I had an in-person interview a few days later, using the STAR method. The interviewer asked about adapting to difficult situations and overcoming customer objections. I wasn't feeling well during the interview but didn't reschedule. I should hear back in 5-7 business days. I'll take the offer if I get it.
- Tell me about a time you provided feedback to a colleague and the outcome.
- Can you share an instance where you had to adapt to an unfavorable change in your work routine?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online on 10/28 and on 10/31 a corporate office in Georgia called me to schedule a phone screening for 11/6. During the screening, the person asked general call center/customer service questions like 'describe a time you had to deal with a difficult or angry customer' and 'Where do you see yourself in 5 years?'. They also explained the role in detail, mentioning the starting pay of $12.63/hour (with a $0.75 shift differential for after 5 p.m. shifts) and that the 6-week training had mandatory 100% attendance. I was told I'd hear back in 7-10 days if I moved on. Less than 10 minutes later, a recruiter offered me an in-person interview for 11/8. The interview used the STAR method and included questions like 'describe a time that you had to adapt to a difficult situation and what was the outcome' and 'tell me about a time that you had to overcome a customers objections in order to keep their business'. I wasn't feeling well during this interview. The next day, I received a contingent job offer via email and was told I'd be contacted within 72 hours for the next steps, which I assume are the background check and drug screen.
- Can you share an instance where you provided feedback to a colleague and describe the outcome?
- Recount a situation where you had to adapt to an unfavorable change in your work schedule or duties.
