First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at USC Shoah Foundation.
Production Manager
I got the interview 3 months after I applied. The questions they asked seemed to be hinting at the new role, and it felt like they weren't totally sure what they were looking for themselves. It's kinda weird to ask someone to solve problems you haven't figured out yet, you know? Like, how's a candidate supposed to fix your issues during an interview?
- Can you define curated content and suggest ways to expand upon it?
Video Archiving Assistant
I applied online and then got a call from the supervisor. We could schedule the interview right away, and it was a smooth process. They asked basic questions about my knowledge of the foundation, how I'd handle a crisis, if I knew about video types, what I was studying in college and if my major was related to the job, and also about my passion for learning new things.
- What do you know about this foundation?
- How would you handle a crisis?
- Do you know about video types?
Video Archiving Assistant
For student worker positions, the interview process is pretty simple. It's short and has only one stage. Mostly behavioral questions about why you want to work for the Foundation. Be sure to research the Foundation before your interview.
- Can you tell me what you know about the USC Shoah Foundation?
Intern
The interview was short, about 30 minutes. They asked direct questions. The people were really nice and efficient when interviewing interns. I got the sense they care about their employees and want qualified candidates. It was one of the better internship interviews I've had.
- What motivates you to seek employment with our company?
- What specifically attracts you to this particular organization?
