Behavioral Presentation

It was a super smooth process. I had panel interviews where they mostly asked about my previous roles and how they could be useful at USAA. There were a couple of behavioral questions, but they weren't too tough. Just make sure you have good examples from your past work ready, and you'll find the questions easy to answer. They didn't ask me to do any technical tasks.

Behavioral Technical

I was contacted by a recruiter because of my specialized knowledge in credit risk policy. Then, I had an on-site interview with people at various levels within the business unit, including interns. It felt like my expertise wasn't really considered, and they seemed to just be going through a checklist of qualifications without truly understanding the skills and qualifications needed. This checklist approach might work in the military, but it's not effective in a business environment that's always changing.

My resume was submitted by a recruiter. I got a call back from their recruiter in a few days to schedule an initial chat. After that, I had an assessment to complete and then set up three more interviews. These were with the hiring manager and the lead analysts.
