Insurance Agent
The interview process started with a quick phone call, under 30 minutes. Then there was a longer phone interview that lasted a bit over an hour. The final step was an in-person meeting at their facility. I got a tour, met a current employee, and then had the interview.
- What makes you the right candidate for this position?
Insurance Agent
Had an interview with a recruiter that asked basic background and a couple of scenario questions. Then, I had a second interview with managers where they asked mostly scenario and role-specific questions. I got a contingent offer pending a background check, which did take some time.
- What are your reasons for wanting to join USAA?
Insurance Agent
First, there was a 15-minute phone interview where they went over pay, the training process, and what the job entails. After that, I was given a date for a Zoom interview about one to two weeks later, which lasted 30-45 minutes. In that interview, they asked about my experience selling to customers, specifically how I convinced them to buy more than they initially intended. There were lots of sales-related questions. An observer was present with the interviewer, which felt a bit intimidating, but it wasn't too bad.
