Claims Adjuster
I applied in July and heard back in September for the interview, so the whole process took about 2 months. First, there was a phone screening with a recruiter. Then, I had a second interview with the hiring manager from the claims department. This interview was pretty recent, so I'm not sure if I'll get an offer yet.
- Describe a situation where you had to deliver sensitive news and how you handled it.
- Can you share an example of when your work ethic motivated you to do what was right?
- Tell me about a time you had to adjust to a new work environment.

I did the application online. Then I got a link to do an assessment the next week. About two weeks after that, I got contacted for a phone interview. I felt like I did great on the phone interview, and the person I spoke with was really nice. After that, they offered me a face-to-face interview at their main office. I was super nervous but managed to keep it together. The interviewer seemed very serious, never smiled or reacted to anything I said, but I guess that's part of their training. That interview lasted about 45 minutes and was all questions, so definitely prepare yourself using the STAR questioning technique.
- Can you tell me about a time you had to juggle multiple tasks to meet a deadline?
Claims Adjuster
The whole process took about 6 weeks from applying to getting the offer, plus some more time for the start date. It was a pretty good and thorough interview process. First, about a week after applying, I got an online assessment for typing, multitasking, customer service with mock calls, and a personality test. If that went well, I had a phone interview a few days later. That call covered basic job info, salary, and some behavior questions. If that also passed, I had an in-person interview with two claims managers. They asked about my resume and why I'd be a good fit, plus more situational/behavioral questions. After that, they said I'd hear back in 5-10 business days, and I did hear back in about a week saying they wanted to move forward (that was week 3). Then I got the background check and drug test info. The background check, done by HireRight, took the longest. Mine was held up by past credit issues that I had to sort out, which took 2 weeks for the check plus another week to fix my credit. Once that was clear, I got the official job offer and start date. It'll be a few weeks before I actually start. Overall, it was a good experience, just be ready for a long wait and maybe follow up with the recruiter if it's been a few days.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded company policy to ensure an excellent customer experience?
- Tell me about a time you made an error and the actions you took to rectify it.
- Describe a situation involving an irate customer and how you resolved it.
