I applied and they emailed me asking about my experience with recruiting Physicians. They emailed me within a day of my response to set up a 15 minute virtual screening. When I got on the call, the individual I spoke with seemed annoyed and didn’t have any personal skills. As a recruiter and being the first person that candidates speak to, I was shocked that I didn’t even get asked about how my day was or any small talk. I was asked to talk a little bit about myself, and the demeanor of the interviewer seemed like he didn’t care. He then immediately went into my experience, asking very detailed questions about how we recruit at my current job and to walk me through the recruiting process. There were a lot of questions that were redundant where I had to repeat myself, also made me feel like he thought I was inexperienced. Also, some of the questions he asked, seemed a bit interrogating. I was then asked if I had to follow any metrics on how many emails and phone calls I send a day, which made me feel like this was more of a sales position with cold calling. At the end, he finally started asking more questions about why I’m looking to leave my current position and other questions to get to know me. He barely explained the position itself. And then I was asked about my salary expectations and even though it is illegal in Illinois, he asked if it would be an increase or decrease from what I currently make. Which I don’t understand why anyone would apply to a job that is a decrease in compensation from what they’re used to? In the end, I ended the call and was so thankful that I don’t work for this company or for the hiring manager. It definitely gave me a bad vibe and I would not apply to any positions for this company moving forward.

The hiring process felt slow and confusing. I had to follow up a lot more than I expected, and didn't get many updates from the company. There were many stages to the interview, and even though the hiring manager seemed like a great leader, the company itself felt outdated and treated employees like a burden rather than a source of growth. Employee morale also seemed low, with no real opportunities for advancement. Looking back, I'm glad I didn't end up working there, but I do wish them well.

The interview process went well and was quick. They were ready for my interview and had my resume. The job title was different than what was posted online, but it was actually a better fit for my field. Everyone was friendly and asked relevant questions about my experience. They contacted me quickly after the interview, calling me two days later to discuss salary and benefits. I had my first day within a week and a half. While the HR staff seemed a bit disorganized, the two directors I met with were professional and organized. They were understanding about why I left my last job and listened to my full story, unlike other companies that dismiss candidates immediately.

It was a great experience! I first spoke with the HR person, who was very pleasant and approachable. She inquired about my previous roles and background, while also engaging in light conversation to make me feel at ease. Subsequently, I met with several other individuals who introduced themselves professionally and kindly. I thought they asked insightful questions and diligently recorded their observations. Everyone seemed prepared and attentive throughout the entire interview.
