I applied online and was first contacted by the HR person for the region. Later, I met with the hiring manager in NJ for an in-person interview. Then I had to talk to another manager, and after that, I spoke with the HR person again. I could have done without the extra manager chat. I was offered the job, but I questioned the salary (it was really low!) and the incentive plan to make sure the total compensation would work for me. The HR department and the hiring manager didn't respond to my questions. Two weeks later, I got an email withdrawing the offer. It was one of those standard emails you get when you're not being considered, even though I had already been offered the job. The whole interview process was very unprofessional. Now I understand why people told me not to consider Gannett. Luckily, I had another opportunity that I didn't pass up when my questions were ignored!

It was a long and exhausting interview process. As is common in many interviews, they did not seem to have reviewed my resume beforehand. They asked very basic questions about my past experience. I wouldn't recommend this process to others. I'm just looking to read some information. I've already logged in and answered some other questions.

It was a pretty laid-back interview, mostly focused on discussing your past experience to see if you'd be a good fit. It was scheduled for half an hour but ran a bit longer.
