Applied online for the account executive role covering retail accounts. A recruiter reached out to discuss the job, asking about B2B sales skills and experience, setting expectations for salary and daily tasks. Next, an in-person meeting with the hiring manager was scheduled, where they asked about sales skills and past work. I also met with the HR manager that same day. Later, I had a meeting with the sales manager who used S.T.A.R. questions to explore past sales scenarios. Following that, I had to do an assessment, and the next day I submitted references. The sales manager contacted me three days after with a verbal offer, which I accepted two days later. The formal offer letter arrived the following week, contingent on background and drug checks.

Behavioral Technical

It was a month-long process. Started with a recruiter call, it was phone only. Got basic questions, not much info about the company, just salary and commission. Then I had a 2-hour interview with an area sales manager. They gave me a lot of insight into what a rep does day-to-day. Mainly they wanted to see how I work independently, handle deadline stress, and achieve targets. Finally, I interviewed with the regional manager and a VP.
