Inside Sales Representative
I had a couple of interviews over the computer with two people, and then one over the phone. It was pretty straightforward.
- What sparked your interest in insurance?
- What motivated you to apply for this role?
- Can you share an example of a challenging problem you overcame?
Independent Contractor
The interview process was quite straightforward. After submitting my application, I got an email for an interview. I accepted and proceeded with a video interview with Jason, who was wonderful. It's a great company.
- How do you feel about investing money?
Recruiter
After I sent in my resume, I got in touch and had an in person interview. It lasted around 30 to 45 minutes. The interview part was okay, but the offered pay was low and there wasn't much incentive for successful hires.
- Tell me about a time you felt good about something in your life.
Senior Broker
I saw the job posting for a virtual insurance sales and marketing role on Careerbuilder/Craigslist and the announcement had details on how to apply. HR said to email or call expressing interest. I sent my info and got a 6-7 page attachment about the position in about 15 minutes. It detailed the company history, the virtual insurance market, and the role requirements. While reading, I got a call from USA Insurance confirming they sent the email and to send my resume if I felt I was a good fit. The attachment mentioned it's very competitive, hiring only 1-2 per state annually for a 'program placement' role for people with potential in insurance. If selected, candidates get licensed and trained, with high earning potential. I submitted my resume and HR emailed back to schedule an interview for the Sr. Broker position. I agreed to the next day at 3pm EST and was told I'd get a webinar invitation. I prepared by reviewing my resume and researching insurance industry info on Glassdoor and other sites.
