Curriculum Developer
It was a straightforward process. I was a Doctoral student at the time, so this role was offered as a perk and for me to gain experience. The position gave me a great chance for research and career development.
- How would you approach developing curriculum for courses within our graduate program?
Academic Affairs Coordinator
I applied on Indeed and then i was nearly immediately provided a phone screen. Shortly after, I was asked to come in person for an interview. This was a multi-step interview process with various employees. There was a brief interview at three levels, but this was over two years ago.
- What experience do you have working in academia?
Network Administrator
The interview process was quite structured and tightly scheduled, which was a bit of a red flag for me. It started with arriving in the parking lot at 0755 and meeting someone, then at 0810 meeting someone else. I took a written test that included questions about sports and information about the founder. I also completed a personality test, met with the administration team, and surprisingly, received an offer on the very same day.
- Tell me about your favorite sport.
- Can you discuss your background?
- What is your opinion on our company's values?
Network Technician
I heard back about my application a week after submitting it. They wanted to know about my past jobs and my knowledge of things like VOIP phones and servers. They also asked about my background in routing and switching. On top of that, they asked about my future goals and my strengths and weaknesses. The whole interview process took quite a bit of time.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
- What's your understanding of VOIP phones?
- What do you know about servers?
