I was contacted by a recruiter, then had a phone interview, and finally an in-person interview. The whole thing took more than a month. The job description listed the tech needed but not the actual systems they use.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I got to bypass the usual HR stuff and went straight to talking with my future manager. They were super chill, friendly, and understanding, making it a really good experience. The next day, I met more of the team, which felt more like a casual chat about how the department works than a formal interview. I've also met some higher-ups, and I bet interviews in other departments are just as pleasant. My situation was a bit special since a close contact referred me, which probably made it easier for US Signal to decide on an offer. Basically, they asked me to go over my past work and how comfortable I am with different parts of the job. It seems like when they have an opening, it's because they're really growing and need people fast, not because they take forever to decide. I got an offer within a week because they were in the middle of things and needed help quickly.

Interview was set up by Brooksource. Their recruiter wasn't clear on what the job needed, like specific tech, brands, and models of equipment. They told me it was a team lead role but more of a technical one. I ended up wasting my time interviewing for a position that required experience with brands I don't have.

The interview process was very straightforward. The hiring manager and department director asked questions to check my interest in the job, my skill level, and my teamwork abilities. It was a laid-back, friendly, and engaging process.
