First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at US Postal Service.
Customer Service Agent
It was a virtual meeting and it was scheduled as an interview to go over my resume and what experience I have in the field. It was a stressful experience because it was my first interview and they asked basic questions.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
Customer Service Representative
The interview with PostMaster had clear instructions. I got a Conditional Offer and accepted it. I completed all the necessary paperwork, which was easy to send and access online. I'm still waiting for a start date though, and it's been about two months now with no idea when that will be. It's taking a really long time, but I'm hoping it'll be worth it.
- Would you rather work by yourself or with a team?
- Do you like written or verbal communication better?
- What's your knowledge of the USPS?
Customer Service Associate
So first, they checked our IDs and resumes. Then we had to watch a few videos about working there, which you can find on YouTube. After that, we got fingerprinted to make sure we're not criminals, lol. Then each of us was pulled into an interview.
- Tell me about a time you had to collaborate with others to get a task done.
- What makes you want to work for the post office?
- Have you ever been fired from a previous job?
