First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at US Electrical Services.
Sales Representative
I interviewed at their warehouse in Middletown, CT. The interview experience was great - everyone there seemed friendly and happy to be working. They also gave me a tour of the warehouse and told me a lot about the job and potential future opportunities within the company.
- Would you have an issue dealing with unfriendly contractors at the counter?
Program Manager
It was a pretty relaxed but thorough interview with Mike Miller. We went over everything, and I really got the sense that the company would have been a great place to work. I was already employed, and then the pandemic hit, so unfortunately, the hiring process didn't move forward. Still, I had a good feeling about the interview and the company.
- What skills do you possess?
- What are your future career goals?
- Could you describe your background?
Branch Management Trainee
I submitted my application and got a quick response to schedule a video interview. It was a straightforward 30-minute call with a really friendly VP. After that, they said they wanted to proceed to the next step, which was a Wonderlic IQ test. I did the test the next day and was told they'd be in touch the following week. Nothing happened for two weeks, so I emailed them and they said they'd get back to me in another week or two. It's been about two months since the interview. Maybe they rejected me and ghosted me, or their hiring process is just super slow. In the meantime, I applied elsewhere, interviewed, got hired, passed my background check, and have a start date.
- What about this role appeals to you?
Benefits Specialist
The interview took about an hour and a half. First, I had to fill out a paper application and then take a logic test. They also asked me basic questions about my background. The interviewer was very direct, almost harsh, which made me think you'd need thick skin to succeed in that department.
