It was a pretty easy, quick, and direct interview process. They focused more on behavioral questions rather than situational ones. Three people interviewed me, and they each took turns asking questions. It was mostly about getting to know me and my previous work history.

The interview process really depends on the specific role you're aiming for. For example, it's different if you're a direct commission officer versus enlisting as a Soldier. For me, as a direct commission officer, I had meetings with recruiters and other officers. It wasn't really a typical interview, more like an assessment to see if I had the physical and mental capacity for the role.

So first, you have a board review, then you go to MEPS and have to pass a really tough physical. After that, there are background checks and basic training. Once that's done, it's off to OCS for officer selection and schooling. After you graduate OCS, you get sent to train for your specific job or Branch. Then, after you finish your individual training, you get assigned to your first duty location.
