& Process

I had a phone screening and was told that I would be called back to schedule an in-person interview. I would be asked to perform a few skills and have a tour of the site. That was 3 months ago. I followed up once and was told I would get back. I never did.

The interview process was straightforward, involving two brief phone conversations with the same hiring manager. The initial contact was a screening call, followed by a more formal one-hour interview. An offer was extended at the conclusion of the second call.

Started with a phone chat with HR. Then an in-person meeting with two clinical supervisors, which was kinda easy but weird because I only found out then I'd be at two schools, not one. Asked for more money due to that, but they said no because of credentialing. They made it clear I'd see 8 clients daily, basically rushing through sessions, and also had to work on school holidays to fill in at other clinics. The clinical supervisors were pretty weak, hardly asking anything relevant to see if I could do the job. I took the job hesitantly and probably should've listened to my gut. Then came the background stuff: urine, blood tests, paying for my own fingerprints. Onboarding was a mess. The medical and credentialing folks had no clue. Newer staff got stuck doing the basic tasks. I waited two months with no start date. I sent tons of emails with forms, and they'd always say I needed more or had missing docs. Medical finally cleared me after a month, the person called twice and didn't even realize it. HR couldn't give a start date and ignored my concerns, just saying 'soon, talk to credentialing.' Seriously, train your staff. Or don't, but expect employees to be overloaded and not care since the system barely works.

The interview process was a bit different than I thought it would be, but overall it was a good experience. The HR person was really nice and helped me out a lot, keeping in touch throughout.
