Sales Development Representative
I was reached out to on Linkedin for the Senior SDR job. After talking with the recruiter, I spoke with the manager for the outbound SDR team and they moved me on to the next step. The next step was gonna be a one hour panel interview with 4 managers where we'd start with a cold call roleplay. I actually backed out of the interview process before the panel interview because I don't want to do an outbound role. Everyone I talked to was really nice and helpful though. Something that stood out was hearing about high turnover in the role and it seemed like the quota wasn't realistic for an outbound role.
- Can you share some feedback you've gotten from a past manager?
- Describe your outbound process.
Sales Development Representative
First up was a quick phone call with the recruiter. Then, I had a roughly 30-minute phone chat with the VP of Sales, who was pretty laid back and straightforward. After that, I went onsite for interviews with four different people: Sales Manager Karen, an Account Executive named Brian, another Sales Development Rep, and finally, the VP of Sales again.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Sales Development Representative
Started with a recruiter call, then had a hiring manager interview, followed by an interview with a Sr Manager. The last round was a role play with another person from the sales team. They mentioned sometimes it's a sales leader, or someone in enablement. The most important thing seemed to be the role play.
- Role play a cold call using a provided scenario.
- Role play a discovery call using a provided scenario.
