The interview process kicked off with a quick 20-30 minute chat with a recruiter. They wanted to check out my background, see if I'd vibe with the team, and make sure I knew what the job was about. Then, I had a 45 minute sit-down with the Hiring Manager. They threw in a short skills test to check how I analyze things, present ideas, and talk to people. The final step was a panel interview with three other folks from the company. We talked about communication, managing time and projects, and my experience helping with programs and getting stuff done. Overall, it was a really great experience. Everyone was super responsive, helpful, and seemed really into their jobs. The skills test was quick and not a big deal.

I applied internally, and soon after got a call for the first phone screen. Then, I had to do a timed online writing test where I had to review a fake resume and cover letter and give feedback. After that, I had an in-person interview with three people, mostly asking about my work style and how I navigate the office. They said I'd hear back in a couple of weeks. A few weeks later, I was invited back to do a mock interview with a client. The overall experience was good, but the whole thing took 3-4 months and felt a bit disorganized.

The interview process has 4 stages. It started with a phone screening, which was very easy and just about discussing my resume and interests. Then there was a video interview where I was asked questions about my experiences and interests. This was followed by a panel interview that had 2 parts and 8 panelists; the first part was a general interview, and the second part was a mock interview. Finally, there was a resume review which was an online assessment.

There were 3 interview rounds total before covid: a phone screen, a skills assessment, and then an in-person panel. The interviewers were nice and really passionate about what the organization does. They let me know what to expect next all the way through.
