Product Manager
The interview process involved four main parts: an initial HR screening, a chat with the Hiring Manager, a session with a Product Designer and a Developer, and a final discussion with the VP and Director of Product. The HR person, Adel, was great at setting things up, making it easy to get scheduled and communicate quickly, so the whole thing wrapped up in two weeks. Even though I didn't get the offer, I really liked the interviews, they felt more like good talks than tests.

Security Engineer
So, there were three parts to this. First, a 30-minute chat with the recruiter about my experience and the role, and they asked about salary expectations. Then, a 1-hour technical interview with a Team IC. It wasn't super deep, mostly general security questions and talking about projects I've worked on. Finally, a 1-hour chat with the VP of Engineering where we talked about security in general and how we could make the company's security better. It all felt pretty positive.
- Do you have prior experience in offensive security?
- Tell me about your previous projects and your security background.
- How do you think we could enhance the company's security?
Customer Success Agent
The interview process took about a month and if the job is anything like it, you'd be lucky to work here. There were three interviews: first with a recruiter, second with department managers, and third with an executive. Everyone was really kind and communicative, keeping me in the loop and always responsive. They also took time to explain the role and the company, and it seems like people there are really interested in the company, which is good for a supportive environment. I also appreciated that they asked about almost every job on my resume, which shows they really take time to get to know candidates.
- What is your understanding of Platform.sh's business?
- What are your thoughts on remote work arrangements?
- Describe your approach to managing conflicts.
Project Manager
I had a screening call via GMeet and then heard nothing back from the recruiter in Spain for about 4 weeks even though I followed up. The recruiter's English was sometimes hard to understand and she seemed really uninterested, overworked, and burnt out. She just asked a series of questions without much interaction or eye contact because she was taking notes. After 4 weeks, I got an email to talk to the hiring manager (a PM in New Zealand). It felt like a total waste of time. He was the same – completely disinterested and bored. He asked the most predictable PM interview questions without any eye contact. He seemed inexperienced at interviewing, and his attitude and lack of enthusiasm made me want to end the call early on. It was a disappointing experience and bad for the company's brand.
- In your opinion, what are the key skills for a Project Manager?
- How do you typically prepare yourself before a call?
- Can you describe your communication style?
