Customer Service Associate
It's been good so far! Everyone involved in my on-boarding process has made it very smooth and easy to adapt. I appreciate how responsive and involved the team has been. It makes for a great first impression and I am excited to see what the future holds!
- How will my previous job experiences contribute to my skills at Upstart?
Customer Service Representative
The first interviewer was super nice and asked standard questions like why I wanted to work there and about my experience. The second interviewer was way more intense and objective, asking harder questions. I thought I was doing well until she threw me a curveball: 'What is the maximum amount of drinks a Starbucks store can make a day, hour, per minute?' She wanted me to come up with a whole formula to figure it out. I totally bombed that part, and the interview ended. They didn't give me an offer because they said I didn't have enough banking industry experience, which is weird since they interviewed me. It was a bad experience; I feel like one question decided everything instead of my degree and actual experience. Hopefully, someone can answer that question better! Good luck!
- How many drinks can a Starbucks store possibly make daily, hourly, and minutely?
Customer Support Representative
Went through a quick interview process, met with two people. One was a main founder, the other was an Operations manager. The whole thing took about 90 minutes, even though I was ready. They had me fill out this 'Brag Sheet', which was kind of fun. But then they never brought it up again, which was odd since it's a cool way to learn about new people.
