Customer Experience Associate
It was a really good experience, very friendly and fast. I had my first interview on a Tuesday and then followup interviews on Thursday of the same week. I got the job offer the following Monday. They ask for references after the second and third interviews and use a third party for them, which made the process quick and they do actually check them out.
- Tell me why you're a great fit for Upstart.
- Can you share an instance where you provided constructive feedback to a colleague?
Customer Experience Associate
I had one phone call interview with the recruiter, and then I advanced to 3 separate zoom interviews with people from the management team. After all the interviews were done, the last step was to input my references through searchlight. It was pretty easy and the whole process went by pretty fast.
- Describe how you would handle an angry customer.
Customer Experience Associate
I was really disappointed in my interview process, given the high reviews I’ve read. I received an email to schedule the initial phone call shortly after submitting an application. I did speak with a hiring team member, however the person who was conducting the interview seemed very disorganized and distracted. She ended up cutting off the phone before it was complete due to a company meeting she had to attend? She set up a time for her to call again later that same day, but I never received the call. I emailed the original scheduler of the phone call since I didn’t have the interviewers contact information. I was eventually emailed by the interviewer asking to re-reschedule the call. Again, I received no phone call at the set time. The rest of our communication was through email and I explained that I would prefer a shift other than the one discussed in the initial conversation, but I would be open for any opportunities in the future. All-in-all, it was a less than professional experience unfortunately.
- Would you consider a contract-to-hire role?
