First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Upshot.
Barista
Had a 30-minute phone call with a third-party recruiter or agent. After that, the hiring manager called me for a brief introductory chat where they asked general questions about my background.
- Can you tell me how many years of experience you have?
Art Director
A super chill and casual chat about you, your experience, and what you're looking for in a role. It's not stressful at all and feels really friendly. You'll get to chat with different people throughout their careers. There's usually more than one call or meeting involved in the process. Be ready to discuss your aspirations and keep an open mind for some unexpected questions.
- How does Upshot align with your career trajectory?
- What are your job expectations?
Intern
The interview process was pretty casual. They could have been a bit more organized and let me know who I'd be meeting with during the day. I met with the VP of the department I was applying for, and also a few senior designers from a different department, which was kind of unexpected. They wanted to hear about my background and previous experience, and also see my work.
- How do you collaborate within larger organizations?
SEM Coordinator
This interview process was awful. I've never experienced such a rude interview before. The interviewer called late without any warning, had a really rude attitude, and seemed to want to rush through the interview. It felt like they just wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible.
- What is your ideal position?
