For the loader role, the process involved a few steps. First, I had to be able to lift 50lbs. Then, I watched a film that showed the correct way to load a truck and how to lift properly to avoid back injuries. It also covered lockout procedures and what to do during emergencies.

I applied online and then picked a time for a group interview. On the first day, I met with an HR manager and my future shift supervisor. They talked for less than an hour about the company, how the facility works, and the job duties. Then, I had to schedule another time for an individual interview. This was early in the morning (5-6 am) to ensure we could be on time and alert. About 10 of us were interviewed that day, each for about 15-20 minutes. Two HR people were there and asked basic questions about my background, current job, physical ability for the role, and punctuality for the early start. It was straightforward, and they explained things well. I'm not sure if I got the offer then or later by phone, but I was asked to attend an orientation soon after.

I applied online and was told that I had an interview instantly. So I went there the day of the interview and it was a group interview. It surprised me a bit but they had us watch videos on our position and what we would be doing. Later they brought us all into the conference room and we met with the managers. I left then about a week later I got a call back and was in a group with some of the people I met at the group interview. Part one they gave us our IDs and then we went to a room of some sort and were taught some basic stuff for our position and were on the computer doing reviews and read alongs and questionnaires based on what we learned over the days. We had a test (if you fail you cannot work) but the instructor was just like forget the test you all pass and we later went down to start working.
