Account Executive
Went through two interviews, they were quite thorough and I felt I did well. A lot of questions were about my personality and how I work with others, which was good. I thought it could have been a bit longer though, or maybe included more people like colleagues.
- What's your approach to collaborating with colleagues?
Account Executive
The first interview was a phone screen. Then there was an online test, which was really hard, I thought I failed it. After that, I had a face-to-face interview. This part wasn't too bad. They made me read a business review and then do a mock sales call. I don't really like these. They want to see if you can ask good questions, really listen to what the customer says, and then adjust your questions based on their responses. Finally, they wanted to see how I'd close the sale. The last interview was with the hiring manager and the area sales director.
- Tell me about the longest workday you've experienced.
- How did you prepare for this interview?
- What steps did you take to prepare for the interview?

For jobs like driver helper or package handler, UPS wants folks to dress business-casual for the interview. Don't wear anything too formal since it might not help you get hired for these kinds of jobs. When you're touring the building, show that you're excited about how UPS works and ask questions if you get the chance. In group meetings, the hiring people will usually talk for a bit about the job duties and what the company expects, then they'll ask you some questions one by one. Common questions include: "Are you aware of the physical demands of this job?" "Can you lift 70 pounds?" "Did you play any sports in high school or college?" Usually, the hiring team decides if they're going to hire you by the end of the meeting. Drug tests and background checks are normal for these entry-level jobs.
- Do you know what the physical demands of this job entail?
- Are you able to lift 70 pounds?
- Were you involved in any sports during high school or college?
