Customer Engagement Professional
I applied online and had to take a personality test and a 30-question Wonderlic. A few days later, I did a Spark Hire remote interview which was pretty cool. The questions made me think and I liked that I could re-record my answers. Then I had an in-person interview. I took another Wonderlic (50 questions) and wrote a statement about why I'm a good fit. After that, I was interviewed by three people. My advice is to practice the Wonderlic online since it's been a while, and have some real-life customer service/work situation examples ready. They ask open-ended and STAR questions, so be ready with the Situation, Task, Actions, and Results. I'm waiting to hear back, but I'd definitely take the job if offered. I really liked the company vibe and the people I met.
- What's the difference between customer service and customer experience?
- Can you share an example of a mistake you made, what happened, and what you learned from it?
- Write a statement explaining why you believe you are a good fit for the company and this role.
IT Infrastructure Manager
So, first up were some online tests, like behavioral and analytical stuff, then I chatted with HR. After that, I had another phone interview with the Hiring Manager. The big one was a 2.5-hour Skype interview with three team members, the hiring manager, and the CIO. It took up 6 hours of my work week. I think being outside Florida might have been a no-go for them. UPC was totally silent after all that, which was super unprofessional. I put in a lot of time and they couldn't even send a quick email. I figured they passed when I saw the exact same job description, but for a more senior Director role with a $30k higher salary cap. Honestly, they won't find anyone better even for that. Really unprofessional way to handle things. Makes me lose sympathy for companies that complain about not finding good people.
- Tell me about your experience that's relevant to this position.
Claims Adjuster Trainee
After applying, I got an email to do a personality test and a 30-question Wonderlic test. About two weeks later, I had an in-person interview in St. Petersburg, FL, which I had to pay for myself. At the interview, I took a 50-question Wonderlic test and wrote a short, three-paragraph assignment explaining why I'd be good for the job. After that, I met with the Training Director and Training Manager. They were both really professional and asked me four questions, all of which required me to use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
- Describe your customer service experience.
- Can you share an example of a challenging customer interaction and how you handled it?
- Walk me through how you resolved a specific customer issue.
Litigation Manager
I had to take 2 tests before they even asked me to come in for an in-person interview. The in-person part started with 2 more timed tests and then I met with 3 staff members. The whole thing took around 3.5 hours. They said they'd decide in 2-3 days. They talked a lot about benefits, but never mentioned salary. I heard nothing for 7 weeks, and my emails went unanswered. Their response wasn't professional, especially for a management role.
- Is traveling to St. Pete an issue for you?
