I totally forgot I even applied for this job and then like 3 weeks later, I get an email about a HR phone screening. It was super quick, under 5 minutes, I think she just wanted to know my salary expectations. They set up a 30 minute interview with the hiring manager pretty fast. It ran a little long 'cause 30 minutes isn't enough time to really talk things through, and mostly I was just talking about my experience, so we didn't get to discuss much else. The hiring manager said they'd let me know about next steps, but I never heard anything back. Just got ghosted. Even a recruiting agency reached out a week after and I had to tell them I'd already interviewed.

The interview consisted of two rounds. Both rounds were focused on soft skills, communication, and collaboration. I talked about my college projects, my problem-solving approach, and how I use analytical and creative thinking. The second round lasted about 30-40 minutes.

Client Experience Manager

The recruiter was nice and responded quickly, and the process moved fast. However, the job description was misleading. It was listed as Client Experience, but the interview was all about marketing, SEM, and paid media, which wasn't mentioned at all in the posting. My resume doesn't show marketing experience, but they interviewed me anyway and then asked super technical marketing questions instead of client experience stuff. It felt like a waste of time because they could have easily screened me out or just read my resume. The hiring manager kept asking deep marketing questions even when I said it wasn't my area, which was awkward and pointless. To management: Be honest about what skills you need. If it's marketing focused, say so in the job description. It'll save everyone time and make things smoother. Also, the hiring manager seemed cold and just going through the motions, not really interested in me or if I'd fit. Worst interview ever.

It was a pretty long interview process, which unfortunately ended with me getting ghosted. The actual interviews and the content weren't super tough, but it was always a struggle to figure out what the interviewer or panel was actually looking for because it often felt like a mix of theory versus practical application and depth versus breadth -- it seemed really inconsistent. The stages were: Recruiter call, Hiring manager call with System Design (1 Hr), System Design (1 Hr), Practical Technical Assessment (1 Hr), Product team Panel (1 Hr), Chat with CTO (30 minutes), Data & Trivia (1 Hr), and Security & Trivia (1 Hr).
