It was a long process with a lot of training afterwards, especially considering the pay is below industry standards. The people are great though. Staff are underpaid. They asked basic interview questions and had tons of interview rounds.

I drove about an hour to their headquarters, but GPS sent me to the wrong building, it's actually behind the bank. After filling out the application, I met with someone from HR. We then went upstairs to a conference room for the interview. It was pretty basic, she had a sheet with questions on both sides and we had a good chat. I felt confident leaving, especially since she talked about training starting the next Monday. After that, I went downstairs for a 15-question math test, no calculator needed. I double-checked my answers at home, and they were all correct. I got a call the next evening saying they chose another candidate. It was disappointing, considering I had to travel for the interview and waited almost two weeks after getting my resume at a job fair.

I had a phone call first, and then they set up a date for an in-person interview. I met with people from different departments. We talked about my past experience at another financial institution and how it would prepare me for this role. They explained exactly what they are looking for and how their training program would get the hired person ready for the position.

They were looking for someone to self-source business, and I told the hiring manager that I don't think this is what I'm looking for. If I'm going down that road, I might as well net branch. The idea behind sharing the revenue is that you get a good lead source and back-end office support in return.
