The interview started off with a panel that seemed really positive, which felt good. But, things changed when I talked about why my last job was short. After they heard about my old boss saying I wasn't proactive, one person lectured me on needing to handle changing priorities without expecting to be taught everything. The panel's vibe got uncomfortable, and it felt less supportive than I expected. Also, a professor kept cutting me off while I was answering. After all that, I had to do a written test, which was okay. So, even though the job sounded interesting, the interview felt really harsh and lacked understanding. Candidates should get ready for a tough panel and hard questions, and think about if the company culture is a good fit.

The application process was unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming, requiring a cover letter, CV, a separate document addressing selection criteria, and a pre-interview task. Despite completing all these steps and a final round interview, I received a generic rejection email. No personal follow-up from the hiring manager was provided. When I requested feedback, there was no response, which I found to be very unprofessional.

You start by filling out an online application via SurveyMonkey, which is pretty detailed, like writing out your resume within the survey. If they like your application, you'll move on to a group interview. This interview has about 10-15 other candidates. You'll need to prepare a short speech about yourself and your interest in UOW. During the interview, you'll present this speech to the group and about 3 interviewers. You'll also do some group activities, like the lifeboat challenge, to see how you work in a team.
