Social Media and Public Relations Manager
I had 2 phone interviews, and then a final panel video interview with 4 marketing team employees. They all asked me questions about my experience and how I'd approach the role.
- Can you discuss your past work experience?
- How do you envision yourself handling the responsibilities of this position?
Public Health Professor
I had a structured virtual interview, then they invited me for a virtual presentation and campus visit. They told me they liked me and wanted me to visit. After the visit, I didn't hear back and sent follow-up emails with no response. I received an automated rejection after about 8 months.
- Were you asked if you were comfortable with teaching online?
Associate Director
It was a series of interviews - a group interview (with the existing staff), and then a few one-on-one interviews with a few individuals (my direct supervisor and the director), and then another group interview (with other staff within the division that collaborate regularly with the office).
- What are your time management strategies?
- Tell me about your communication and presentation skills and experiences.
- Describe your experience with teamwork and collaboration.
Coordinator
Saw the job for Coordinator of Career Services on the university's joblink. Got an email saying my application was accepted. The hiring committee chair called me within 3 days of the job closing to set up a phone interview. Four different people asked me one question each during this 15-minute phone chat. The chair called me back within 2 days to arrange an on-campus interview. This interview had all four committee members asking two questions each, and then I had an exit interview with the executive director. Got the offer within 2 days.
- How flexible would you say you are with your work schedule, considering this is a branch campus and many students are non-traditional?
