The interview experience was pretty smooth and professional. It kicked off with a basic screening, checking my academic background, what I'm interested in researching, and if I had relevant experience. Then, I got invited to a panel interview with some faculty and senior researchers. They asked a mix of technical and general questions, covering my past research projects, methods I know, and how I deal with difficulties in long research work. They also wanted to know why I applied and how my skills fit their current projects. It felt like a friendly, academic chat, not a tough grilling, just checking if I'd fit their research vibe. The whole thing took about 2-3 weeks from applying to hearing back.

I interviewed about a month ago and the whole process wrapped up in about 2 weeks. It was a 3-person panel interview, scheduled for an hour but it only lasted 10 minutes. They all seemed really uninterested, and the lab leader was on his phone practically right away. The current RA was nice and showed me around after, but they had only been there a month and it felt like they were eager to leave.
