I got in touch with my adviser via email. He was interested in my background and asked a few questions about my past work. After I responded, we scheduled a phone interview. Following that, he suggested I apply to the University of Toledo and assisted me in obtaining a graduate assistantship.

The interview process included a phone interview. They asked pretty basic questions and were friendly. They followed up quickly. I wish they would have explained the benefits and the kind of work expected in more detail. The focus was on the statement of purpose.
