After School Teacher
The interview process only involved a phone interview, and there was no in-person interview required. If your qualifications meet the requirements, you'll get an offer from the office. They do require a couple of references, a background check, a Tb test, and other similar checks.
- What prompted your departure from your last job?
Graduate Student
The interview process for a Data Science Intern usually goes like this: First, they screen your application. Then, there's an initial phone screen. After that, a technical screening. This is followed by an on-site or virtual interview. Finally, there's a final interview. The last step is the offer and negotiation, and then onboarding. Each part is meant to check different things about you and how you'd fit, to make sure you've got the skills and the right attitude to do well as a data science intern.

Assistant Professor
It was a full-day interview, including a teaching demonstration. I met with faculty and administrators. The administration appears to be a blend of academic and professional leadership. They are creating new departments. Some of the faculty were nice, but the department seemed unorganized. The leadership oddly spoke negatively about past faculty, which wasn't professional.
- How do you approach teaching?
Payroll Director
Since this is a university, the interview process is quite long and can feel repetitive. It started with an interview with the person currently in the role and their direct report. After that, there were several panel interviews, with at least 10 days between each one. A panel or team would have made all the final decisions. I'd estimate the whole process would have taken several weeks, but more realistically, over 3 months.
- Can you tell me about your background and education?
