Assistant Professor
The interview process started with a phone screen. Following that, there was a flyout day which was an all-day event. The evening before the flyout, there was a dinner. On the flyout day, I gave a research presentation and met with several faculty members and a couple of deans. The main goal was to learn more about the department and school and to assess if I was a good fit. Aside from the presentation, there weren't any difficult questions. The entire process was described as friendly, cordial, efficient, and well-run.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Graduate Student
It was a pretty chill process. First, I sent in a cover letter and a letter of intent where I talked about my background and what I'm qualified for. Then, I had an in-person chat with the course instructor. It was just me and them, and they asked me why I wanted the job, what I'm good and not so good at, and about my communication skills.
